We produce music rolls according to your wishes
To conserve resources and accommodate individual requests, we only produce to order. Depending on production progress, we also keep accessories such as boxes, spools, etc., and some rolls in stock. Due to the high demand for our music rolls and large-scale digitization projects, a little patience is required – but the wait is worth it!
Please send us your order requests (for music rolls the numbers are sufficient) by email to info@pianolarollen.de stating your address or via our contact form . We will check the availability of the item and send you an offer by email including the estimated shipping costs and the desired shipping date. We include detailed instructions on the use and storage of the music rolls with every shipment. We only deliver against advance payment. All prices are net prices plus the applicable VAT. Deliveries to non-EU countries are usually made as tax-free export deliveries in accordance with Section 4 No. 1a iV Section 6 UStG. Shipping costs are calculated separately and listed in the offer - depending on the weight and volume of the order. Due to the very volatile markets for products and services, we reserve the right to adjust prices. Additional local taxes / customs duties may apply to orders from abroad. If you are not satisfied, please contact us directly - despite our best care, mistakes can happen and we can always find a solution.

As close to the original as possible
We produce music rolls for various self-player systems such as Welte, Hupfeld, Philipps, Weber, etc., and in various formats such as 65, 88, Welte red/green, DEA, DUCA, etc. Currently, we primarily produce Welte T100 red, as well as Weber Unika and 88-key music rolls. To ensure authenticity, our Welte red rolls, for example, feature specially produced red paper, wooden sides, thread fastenings, labels modeled on the original, and handmade, sturdy, hinged-lid boxes. Our goal is to ensure that, at first glance, there is as little difference as possible between the roll or box and the original. Our iDMP symbol can only be found inside the box and in very small letters on the box label. This means our rolls can also be exhibited publicly and presented at demonstrations.
You can find our current selection in the lists below. Feel free to inquire about titles not yet listed there, as we are constantly adding new titles and can also prioritize them according to your needs. If you have a roll you'd like to digitize that we don't yet list here, please get in touch . If you're interested in buying or selling original Welte or other rolls, FASZINATIONPIANOLA ( Contact ) would be pleased to hear from you.
Here you will find a lot of Welte music rolls

Prices of Welte music rolls
At that time, Welte differentiated its prices into three categories based on music roll length and title, as well as on the applicable royalties. Until 1914, a music roll cost between 6.00 and 50.00 marks. Converted into euros today, that would correspond to approximately 33.00 to 275.00 euros! The roll lengths vary depending on the title, between approximately 5m and 50m; the vast majority of music rolls have paper lengths of approximately 15m to 35m. We also offer our Welte music rolls in three price categories, depending on the paper length. Rolls with a paper length of up to approximately 15m are offered for EUR 65.00, from approximately 15m to approximately 35m for EUR 85.00, and rolls longer than approximately 35m are offered for EUR 115.00. Scale rolls with handwritten notes and other special rolls are subject to a surcharge. We offer project-specific discounts for orders of 10 or more music rolls. Upon request, we use sturdy white paper for the scale rolls to make the notes easier to read.

Welte scale and special roles
In order to set up an instrument correctly, the technical scale and setting rolls are absolutely essential. After years of searching, we have been able to locate all the relevant original rolls, for example for Welte and most other systems, and we are now offering them as new punched rolls. The complete set of tuning scale, technical scale, test rolls and demonstration rolls is recommended for owners of an instrument. We can write the test instructions on the rolls by hand or supply them as an additional sheet. The technical test rolls contain short pieces of music that really put the well-set-up instrument to the test, right up to its limits. The original demonstration rolls have excerpts from pieces of music to present the instrument in the best possible way. We can also punch out your own compilations of songs on request. The same applies to other pieces of music, i.e. we can combine titles of your choice on one roll.

Accessories for music rolls
We mostly manufacture the authentic components for our music rolls ourselves – or have them manufactured on our behalf in Germany. However, it's often not easy to find manufacturers for these special components, as this expertise was lost when music roll production ceased in the late 1930s.
Depending on availability, you can order music roll boxes, sides, spool cores, and labels from us. Currently, we primarily stock Welte red, Welte green, Philipps DUCA, Weber Unika, etc. If you are interested, please write to us with your requirements, including any necessary details such as dimensions or labeling.

Unique music rolls
The music rolls for Weber Unika are usually quite long, with three to four titles, and feature an elaborate wooden spool. We have digitized a large inventory of original titles and offer them as new cuts. You can find the Unika music roll list here . We manufacture the authentic wooden spools ourselves; the white paper and cardboard are manufactured in Germany. Weber apparently didn't have a uniform system for roll numbers at the time; instead, a selection of rolls starting with No. 1 with different combinations of titles was produced for each customer.
At that time, the price per meter was 0.90 marks, meaning a 45-meter roll cost 40.50 marks, which would be equivalent to approximately 223.00 euros today. If you are interested in unique recut music rolls, please send us the roll numbers and we will make you a quote based on availability.
