We produce music rolls according to your wishes

In order to conserve resources and take individual wishes into account, we only produce to order. We also have accessories such as boxes, spools, etc. and some rolls in stock, depending on the progress of production. Due to the high demand for our music rolls and large digitization projects, it takes a little patience - but it's worth the wait!

Please send us your order requests (for music rolls, the numbers are sufficient) by email to info@pianolarollen.de, stating your address, or via our contact form. We will check the availability of the items and send you an offer by email, including the estimated shipping costs and the target shipping date. We enclose detailed instructions on the use and storage of the music rolls with every shipment. We only deliver on prepayment. All prices are net prices plus the applicable VAT. Deliveries to non-EU countries are usually made as tax-free export deliveries in accordance with § 4 No. 1a in conjunction with § 6 UStG. Shipping costs are calculated additionally and listed in the offer - depending on the weight and volume of the order. Due to the highly volatile markets for products and services, we reserve the right to adjust prices. For orders from abroad, additional local taxes/customs duties may apply. Should you ever be dissatisfied, please contact us directly - mistakes can happen despite all care and we will always find a solution.

As close to the original as possible

We produce music rolls for various self-playing systems such as Welte, Hupfeld, Philipps, Weber, etc. and various formats such as 65, 88, Welte red/green, DEA, DUCA, etc.. Currently mainly Welte T100 red as well as Weber Unika and 88-note rolls. In the interests of authenticity, our Welte red rolls, for example, have specially produced red paper, wooden edges, thread fastenings, labels based on the original and handmade sturdy hinged lid boxes. Our aim is to ensure that at first glance there is as little difference as possible between the roll or box and the original. You will only find our iDMP mark inside the box and very small on the box label. This means that our rolls can also be exhibited in public and presented at demonstrations.

You can find our current range in the lists below. Please feel free to ask for titles that are not yet listed, as we are constantly adding new titles and can also bring them forward according to your wishes. If you would like to make a roll available for digitization that is not yet listed here, please contact us. If you would like to buy or sell original Welte or other reels, FASZINATIONPIANOLA(contact) would be pleased to hear from you.

Here you will find lots of Welte music rolls

Prices of Welte music rolls

At that time, Welte had differentiated its prices into three categories according to music roll length and title, also depending on the protection fees to be paid. Until 1914, a music roll cost between 6.00 marks and 50.00 marks. Converted into euros, this would correspond to between 33.00 euros and 275.00 euros today! Roll lengths vary between approx. 5m and 50m depending on the title, the vast majority of music rolls have paper lengths of approx. 15m - 35m. We also offer our Welte music rolls in three price categories, depending on the paper length. We offer rolls with a paper length of up to approx. 15m for EUR 65.00, from approx. 15m to approx. 35m for EUR 85.00 and rolls of more than approx. 35m for EUR 115.00. Scale rolls with handwritten notes and other special rolls have a surcharge. We grant project-related discounts for orders of 10 or more rolls of music. On request, we use a robust white paper for the scale rolls so that the notes are easier to read.

Welte scale and special roles

To set an instrument correctly, the technical scale and setting rollers are absolutely essential. After years of searching, we have been able to find all the relevant original rolls for Welte and most other systems, for example, and now offer them as new stampings. We recommend the complete set of tuning scale, technical scale, test rolls and demonstration rolls for instrument owners. We can handwrite the test instructions on the rolls - or / and supply them as a supplement. The technical rehearsal rolls contain short pieces of music that really put the well-adjusted instrument to the test. The original demonstration rolls have excerpts from pieces of music to present the instrument in the best possible way. We can also punch your own compositions on request. The same applies to other pieces of music, i.e. we can combine titles of your choice on one roll.

Accessories for music rolls

We usually manufacture the original components for our music rolls ourselves - or have them produced on our behalf in Germany. It is often not so easy to find manufacturers for these special components, as this expertise was lost at the end of music roll production at the end of the 1930s.

Depending on availability, you can order music roll cartons, flanks, spool cores and labels from us. Currently mainly Welte red, Welte green, Philipps DUCA, Weber Unika, etc.. If you are interested, please write to us with your requirements including the necessary details such as dimensions or labeling.

Unika music rolls

The music rolls for Weber Unika are usually quite long with three to four titles and have an elaborate wooden spool. We have digitized a large stock of original titles and offer them as new punchings. Here you can find the Unika music reel list. We manufacture the original wooden spools ourselves, and have the white paper and boxes made in Germany. Apparently Weber did not have a standardized system for roll numbers at the time, but rather a selection of rolls from No. 1 with different title combinations were produced for each customer with the instrument.

The price per meter at that time was 0.90 marks per meter, i.e. a 45m roll cost 40.50 marks, which would correspond to today's price of approx. 223.00 euros. If you are interested in Unika music rolls with new punchings, please write us the roll numbers and we will make you an offer depending on availability.
